Resin Kit: 1/6 Choun Shiryu Damaged Uniform - Unboxing and Dryfit

Following the finished painting of the Kshatriya's arms, I go to opening another resin figure to take a break from the painting of the Kshatriya; just like I did before. This time its a 1/6 Choun Shiryu Damaged Uniform, the third and last piece from the same series of figures as my 1/6 Kanu Unchou on Knees and 1/6 Ryomou Shimei Hadaka Apron. Finishing these three is the perfect precursor before pushing to finish the huge Kshatriya.

The kit comes in a medium size box lined with bubble wrap with the parts neatly packed inside.

There are parts inside a parts bag while the larger pieces are wrapped separately.

These are contents of the parts bag.

While these are the separately wrapped parts.

The kit comes with two faces, one with open eyes and one with closed eyes.

Sections of her uniform are in halves.

Pour plugs are huge on the kit making for a very good cast but also more work cleaning them.

A few issues with the kit. The sword is curving the wrong way and crooked. That will need to be straighten out. The arms are cut from the body. If painted like this, the arms will have ugly seamlines, so these will need to be glued together first and do some seamline removal. The hands also have the same issue. But these these needed to be like this so the katana handle and scabbard can be molded separate from the hands.

Here are all the parts that compose the kit.

And after cleaning all the nubs, a bit of dryfitting is in order.

Next will be the painting.
