MG The O Box Art 2 |
A brief background on The O.
The MS was used in the Zeta Gundam series. It was designed and piloted my Paptimus Scirocco and is one of the four mobile suits seen fighting in the anime's finale. The box of the kit is huge. The boxes of any of the other extra large MG kits I have will fit in it. Even the box of my PG Strike will fit in it. The box doesn't open like other MG kits but rather open from either sides. The box also comes with a handle. From what I know this is currently the most expensive non-special edition MG kit available today.
The O Box Open |
Following the manual, the first section to be built is the torso.
Torso Inner Frame |
The O's torso's inner frame is not very complex. Very few pieces but nicely detailed.
Torso Armor Pieces |
Torso Compete |
The torso armor for The O is very round and smooth. Not too many hard edges except for on the collar.
Do you see the bird face? IF you do, you will never unsee it now. After the torso is completed, the next section to be built is the backpack.
Backpack Pieces |
The two wing parts on the sides and the long antenna-like part on the top are actually made of two pieces each instead of being molded into one so seam removal will be required when painting those part to make for a cleaner look.
Backpack Complete |
The completed backpack looks like s weird swan/beetle robot.
Once the backpack is completed, we just attach it to the torso and we get this.
Torso and Backpack Complete |
The completed torso and backpack gives a good preview of how massive the MG The O is going to be.
