Painting: 1/6 Choun Shiryu Damaged Uniform

Continuing on with painting of the 1/6  Choun Shiryu Damaged Uniform. For the base that I wiil be using for the clear skin, I test out another shade to see if I can get another shade of skintone that can possibly be between the pale skintone of my 1/6 Kanu Unchou on Knees and the more reddish skintone of my 1/6 Ryomou Shimei Hadaka Apron.

Resin Kit: 1/6 Choun Shiryu Damaged Uniform - Unboxing and Dryfit

Following the finished painting of the Kshatriya's arms, I go to opening another resin figure to take a break from the painting of the Kshatriya; just like I did before. This time its a 1/6 Choun Shiryu Damaged Uniform, the third and last piece from the same series of figures as my 1/6 Kanu Unchou on Knees and 1/6 Ryomou Shimei Hadaka Apron. Finishing these three is the perfect precursor before pushing to finish the huge Kshatriya.

Painting: 1/100 Kshatriya Resin Kit - Arms and Shoulder

A few weeks after completing my 1/6 Ryumou Shimei Hadaka Apron, I have finally completed the next section for the Kshatriya. Last time on the Kshatriya, it was the legs and feet that I completed painting. Now its time for the arms and shoulder.

Resin Kit: 1/6 Ryumou Shimei Hadaka Apron - Unboxing

I'm taking another short break after finishing painting the legs on the 1/100 Kshatriya. This time, I'm opening a second kit from the same figure series as the 1/6 Kanu Unchou On Knees I have previously painted. The kit I will be working on is a 1/6 Ryumou Shimei Hadaka Apron.

Tutorial: "Magic Wash" Panel line wash

Here's my take on the acrylic panel line wash mix called "Magic Wash" Not sure how many Gunpla or large scale figure modeller know of this technique but it is a technique mainly used by miniature figure painters.

The "Magic Wash" mix only works with acrylics or water-based inks since the wash in involve water and Pledge Future Floor Shine or Pledge Wipe and Shine, depending on your country.
Making "Magic Wash" is simple. 4 parts water is mixed with 1-2 parts Future. This is the stock. You can pre-mix this in large quantities and store it. You can then mix one part of paint or ink to 4-5 parts of the "Magic Wash" stock to create your panel line wash. Alternatively, you can just mix 4:2:1 or water:Future:paint whenever you need some wash.

Resin Kit: 1/6 Kanu Unchou on Knees - Unboxing and Dryfit

Opening another resin figure kit after the 1/8 Tsukikage, a larger scale 1/6 Kanu Unchou on Knees. This kit has a bit of an adult theme and is slightly more realistic compared to other anime character kits. Some photos will contain partial nudity.

The kit came in E2046's large box. The kit I received did not contain any instructions or picture of the finished kit. Parts came in one large parts bag and some separately packed ones.

Painting: 1/8 Tsukikage

After cleaning and doing all preparations on Tsukikage, painting can now commence.

Starting with base coating after some primer. Normally I add a gray base coat before the actual color coat but decided to skip that this time.

Resin Kit: 1/8 Tsukikage - Unboxing

Taking a short break from building the 1/100 Kshatriya, I decided to work on a resin figure. This one is a 1/8 Tsukikage. I don't have much info on the kit other than she is a ninja.

Painting: 1/100 Kshatriya Resin Kit - Waist and Skirts

After quickly starting this section when I finished the head and torso, I placed it on hold right in the middle of the build. Now, I am finally able to complete the waist and skirts of the 1/100 Kshatriya.

Painted Kit: MG Aegis Gundam

Here's the most recently completed painted kit I have, a MG Aegis Gundam, that I entered into a Gundam building competition last May. I didn't post a WIP for it since I was working on it a little hurriedly. The MG Aegis is extremely full of visible details which I just loved.

Painting: 1/100 Kshatriya Resin Kits - Head and Torso

After having this 1/100 NZ-666 Kshatriya full resin kit for about a year now, I've finally decided to paint it, starting with the head and torso. I have previously cleaned and dry-fit built the kit, so all the kit needs is some final checks and painting can begin.

Tutorial: Painting battle damages

Continuing on after applying the weathering, I now go on to paint the battle damage I applied earlier.

In painting the battle damage, I started by dry brushing black in the bullet holes and explosions. I also dry brushed a bit outside the bullet holes and explosions but kept it close to the edges.

Tutorial: Drybrush weathering

After applying the battle damages, I proceed to do the weathering and painting of the battle damages.

I start with applying the weathering first using the drybrushing technique.
First off is the drybrush. I use what's called a stencil brush (that's what's written on the label) because it comes with stiff bristles; which is important in drybrushing. But any old brush with stiff bristles will do.

Tutorial: Applying battle damages.

This is a simple tutorial of the battle damage I did on a project I did about two years ago.
This was done on a Perfect Grade Zeta and was the first time I did battle damage.

Painted Kit: 1/100 MG Qubeley Mk. II - Elpeo Ple Version

Here's another Master Grade kit I have painted a about a year ago.
This is 1/100 MG Qubeley Mk. II - Elpeo Ple Version.
For this kit I decided to put my airbrushing skills to the test and added something extra on the paint job. I also added some weathering since, like the MG Shin Musha I have, the paint job got damaged a bit when I packed it.

Painted Kit: 1/100 MG Shin Musha Gundam

A 1/100 MG Shin Musha Gundam that I painted a couple years back. I re-added some paint chipping effects to the kit since some paint damage occurred when I packaged the kit for shipping. Most of it was on the back skirt and just added a few more on the kit over all.

Resin Kit: 1/7 Kan'u Unchou - Unboxing And Dryfit Build

After finishing the painting of my 1/8 Nami P.O.P. Sailing Again Resin Kit, I now start work on my 1/7 Kan'u Unchou resin figure. The kits, like Nami, was bought from E2046.

The box is small and compact but the contents are well protected inside. It comes with a single picture of the finished kit and a parts list. It doesn't show how to put the kit together, so I have to figure that out.

Painting: 1/100 AGX-04 Gerbera Tetra - Assembly

To wrap up my painting of the SMS 1/100 Gerbera Tetra Full Resin Kit, I apply the decals and the final top coat on the pieces then do the final assembly. I used Future Floor Shine for my top coat.

To assemble the parts of the Gerbera Tetra, I used super glue for adhesive.

Painting: 1/8 Nami P.O.P. Sailing Again Resin Kit

After painting a few plastic Gundam kits and one resin Gundam kit, I decided to try my hands on painting anime resin figures. My first kit: a 1/8 Nami from One Piece. The kit is a resin version of Megahouse's Excellent Model/Portrait Of Pirates "Sailing Again" Nami.

The kit consists of 19 pieces, a decal of Nami's tattoo. The picture below has Nami's eyes painted cause I tested out painting eyes before actually working on the kit.

Continuing with the painting of the SMS 1/100 Gerbera Tetra Full Resin Kit, after applying the base coat, some masking and a bit of pre-shading is needed. I used black as a pre-shade.

Painting: 1/100 AGX-04 Gerbera Tetra - Primer and Base Coat

After a long hiatus, I am finally able to get back to working on my kits. And first up is my SMS 1/100 Gerbera Tetra Full Resin Kit. I got the kit April last year and was able to do the necessary preparations needed before painting the kit but was unable to get to painting it afterwards.
